W.T. Thomas (Wallamkulam Thomas) - May 15, 1931- May 24, 2012

W.T. Thomas (Wallamkulam Thomas), the only child to the late Mr. P. T. Thomas and to the late Mrs. Mariamma Thomas. He was born on May 15, 1931 in Kerala, India. He belongs to Padikkaveetil house of ancient Kaduvettor family in Thiruvalla. He grew up in Coimbatore and completed his studies there as well. He worked as Revenue Inspector in Tamil Nadu. W.T. Thomas joined the Railway Mail Service (RMS) in early 1954 at Trivandrum. He devoted twenty nine years of his life to the RMS. Subsequently, he became supervisor and then migrated to the United States in 1983. In 1989, Thomas joined the New York City
Transit Authority. After ten years of dedicated service as supervisor, he retired in 2001 from the
Department of Stations. Due to his undying passion for reading, Thomas wrote and published a book titled Glimpses of American Small Enterprises in 2004. W.T. Thomas entered into the loving arms of his Savior on May 24, 2012. Thomas is survived through his beloved wife of fifty-seven years, Marykutty Thomas, his four children, Francis, Rosamma, Leena and Reena and his nine grandchildren and great- grandson.
